Once the website has been configured — virtual factory, products, loss trees and assignments — it is time to finalise the configuration directly on the tablet.
Step 1: Log in to the application
Launch the PerfTrak app on the tablet and log in using the credentials of one of the operator accounts you previously configured on the website.
⚠️ Important: make sure the configuration permissions have been activated for this operator account — the Setup access rights in the employee form on the website.
Step 2: Check that the configurations have synchronised
Once on the main interface, click the cogwheel (settings icon) to check that the configurations made on the website have been updated:
- Machine: the machine name must match.
- Products: the list of assigned products must be up to date.
- Loss categories: the assigned loss tree must be visible.
Tip: if the data is not up to date, refresh the product list and the loss tree from the corresponding tabs in the application Settings.
Step 3: Select a product
Click the "Change-over" button at the bottom of the home screen to display the list of available products. Choose one of the products you created on the website.
⚠️ Important: the Bluetooth connection with the module cannot be established unless a product has been selected beforehand.
Step 4: Connect the module over Bluetooth
- On the main interface, click the settings icon at the bottom right.
- Click "Module Setting".
- In the list of available Bluetooth networks, choose the TEEPTRAK module installed on the machine.
Tip: the module reference corresponds to the first 4 alphanumeric characters shown on the label attached to the module.
- Wait until a list of operations appears on the screen, confirming that the connection was successful.
Final checks
Once the connection is established, check the following visual indicators:
- Blue light on the module: the module is connected to the tablet over Bluetooth.
- Green Bluetooth icon on the tablet: Bluetooth connection active.
- Red Bluetooth icon on the tablet: Bluetooth disconnected.
- Green WiFi icon on the tablet: internet is available.
- Red WiFi icon on the tablet: internet is not available.
- Black and red WiFi icon, moving: synchronisation with the website in progress.
- Red Andon (light column): a malfunction causing a loss is in progress.
- White Andon (light column): a loss still has to be informed by the operator on the tablet.
Key points
- After any modification of a product or a loss tree on the website, remember to refresh the Products or Loss categories tab on the tablet to apply the update. After refreshing, exit and relaunch the application.
- You can test the communication between the tablet and the module by going to the Bluetooth settings and pressing "Send PING". If the dialogue works, you will receive PONG.
The installation is now complete. Your PerfTrak system is operational and ready to track your machine's performance.
