Performance indicators

Path: Administration > Reference Data > Performance Indicators

Overview

Performance indicators (KPIs) let you track the efficiency of your production equipment through key metrics. Indicators are configured in the Administration > Reference Data > Performance Indicators tab, which is a prerequisite before they can be displayed on your dashboards.

Available indicators

PerfTrak offers several predefined indicators, among them:

  • OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

  • Breakdown rate

  • Scrap rate

  • TEEP (Total Effective Equipment Performance)

  • TRE (Taux de Rendement Économique)

  • TRG (Taux de Rendement Global)

  • TRS (Taux de Rendement Synthétique)

TRE, TRG and TRS are the French indicator names, displayed as such in the platform.

These indicators are based on the loss categories defined in the loss tree: Loading, Availability, Performance, Quality and Custom.

Creating an indicator

  1. Go to Administration > Reference Data > Performance Indicators.

  2. Click Add to create a new indicator.

  3. Configure the indicator's settings: its name and the loss categories taken into account in the calculation.

Available actions

Three actions are possible for each indicator:

  • Edit: adjust the indicator's settings.

  • Perimeter: define which factories, workshops or machines the indicator applies to.

  • Delete: remove the indicator.

Displaying indicators on the tablet

Indicators can also be made directly visible on the operator's tablet. This is configured from the loss tree, in the Performance indicators tablets sub-tab. There you can define a name for the indicator as well as the perimeter it covers — the loss categories to be taken into account.

The indicator is then displayed on the main interface of the tablet, and can be viewed over several periods: 1 hr, 24 hrs, 7 days, or by shift.

Use in the dashboards

Once the indicators have been created, they can be added to the dashboards in the PerfTrak tab. KPIs are added to a dashboard by clicking the dashboard's arrow, then Add New KPI. Two types of dashboard are available:

  • Real-time Dashboard: the KPIs are calculated and refreshed automatically every 30 seconds.

  • Flexible Interval Dashboard: lets you track performance over a custom period.
